Five and one half years of excellent care for a 96 year old lady
Lorene moved into Evergreen Court in 2018 and had a wonderful experience of living in a very special environment the past 5 1/2 years. As her personal friends we were so pleased that she chose a safe, comfortable and caring place to call her own. She enjoyed Terri Stamsos and her staffs interaction with her and made many good friends with other residents. She loved the many activities and outdoor trips that were offered and found herself involved in all of them. We were sorry that she had to leave her "Independent Living" at Evergreen and move on to Assisted Living facilities. As dear friends of Lorene we would heartily encourage others looking for a place for their loved ones to consider Evergreen Court as their place of choice for living arrangements. Thank you, Terri Stamsos and Staff at Evergreen Court for all you did for Lorene.

My parents both thrived at Evergreen Court for over 2 years. Such a friendly and caring place. Many activities residents may participate in, and the shuttle service was excellent. I would describe the staff as stellar from the executive staff to maintenance, to food service and housekeeping. Everyone cared about the residents and their happiness. I would highly recommend Evergreen for your loved ones!

Excellent staff! The manager and her team do a great job. They all go above and beyond to make sure we are happy and enjoying our apartments. When there is an issue or something needing done, they attend to it in a very timely manner. The facility is kept in excellent condition and very clean. The meals are chef prepared and very tasty. They have many activities and entertainment for the residents. I highly recommend Evergreen Court to all my friends.

Evergreen Court - Simply the Best!
We’re happy to offer our review as new residents of just a few months.
Right from the start, we’ve felt such warmth, acceptance, and helpfulness from all of the management team and staff members. The same is true for the residents, such kind friendly folks, welcoming us and helping us learn about all of the activities and special features of our new home.
In fact, standout features are how welcomed and cared about folks made us feel and that residents freely volunteered their feelings: “We like it here! It’s a happy place! They’re all so nice! You’re going to love it!” Comments came from folks who’ve been here from a couple of years to many years. We noticed that people were smiling and looked content leaving the dining hall – a very good sign! – and a sound testimony to the talent and thoughtfulness of the dining hall and kitchen staff in getting to know each resident’s name and food preferences.
Surroundings seemed familiar and comfortable with vintage style décor and then it occurred why: We seniors are vintage, too! That’s why we feel so much at home! Laundry is quite convenient with a washer and dryer on each floor, each resident has their own reserved laundry time, and…no quarters required! Friendly efficient housekeepers come to clean your apartment weekly, too. Plus, talented skillful handymen are on-the-spot to help with needs around your apartment.
Our energetic Program Director helps folks keep busy with activities throughout the week, both in-house with various games, movies, crafts, exercise activities, live music, social gatherings, etc., and in the community with shopping, eating out, cultural events, scenic drives, field trips and so forth. Our faithful thoughtful Driver provides wheelchair accessible transportation to these activities, as well as for practical necessities such as shopping, appointments, banking, etc., helping with walkers and wheelchairs as needed, assuring that everyone feels comfortable and safe. Our Driver also shops, picks up prescriptions, etc., when folks can’t get out themselves. It’s also important to acknowledge the impressive well-maintained library, the Beauty Shop on Fridays, that there is terrific water pressure in the shower, and that pets are welcome, too!
Evergreen Court is an altogether lovely place which stands apart for warmth and sincerity in helpfulness. We feel blessed beyond measure that one(!) apartment was available just when we needed it. And, so, here we are, with a stunning view of Coos Bay, feeling comfortable and secure, among the friendliest most-helpful folks imaginable.

This is the best retirement community in our county. The cost is much more affordable than others. Staff are exceptional, as they are loving, genuinely concerned, and accessible. They provide great meals, transportation to stores and appointments, and to local events. Activities within the facility are welcoming and varied to meet the needs of all residents.

My 86-year-old mother moved from our family home of 55 years, 160 miles away, to Evergreen Court this past January. Needless to say, it was a HUGE adjustment for her. But it was time to be closer to family. Lucky for all of us, Evergreen Court is a friendly, attractive, spacious establishment with a variety of daily activities residents can choose. The staff is EXTREMELY kind and considerate. It is obvious that Terri Stamsos, the director, can hire people who genuinely care about people. Over and over again, residents' needs come first. Terri Stamsos has said more than once she only wants people who live here to be happy...and that goal is the driving force on a daily basis. This place is a true testament to the fact that it really is all about the people we surround ourselves with. Thank you, Evergreen Court, for going above and beyond everyday to make sure all residents have what they need. I feel 100% confident that my mother lives in a great place. She is content!

Evergreen Court offers many activities for the residents to enjoy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is always clean and it presents well. The dining hall is always immaculate and the variety offered is ample to tempt the most discriminating tastes. The wait staff is always friendly and well groomed. An enjoyable experience!

Very nice. They’re working hard to be like they were before the virus came to the area. I have hearing aids and find the dining room “noisy” especially when “Bobby” comes in with his shouting – he’s one of the cooks. Terry goes out of her way to help everyone. Anna is always there to share when needed and DJ is great – more than willing and Dave will do whatever he can.

We can and do speak highly of the staff of this facility. That starts with the top manager. A people person, who is quick to respond to the needs and desires of the tenants. The results of her favorable guidance is seen down through the ranks of employees at all levels. Personnel who interact directly with tenants, maintenance workers, kitchen and housekeeping staff. Caregivers, etc. are friendly and eager to please those who seek their assistance. During our stay in this facility, we have not heard one complaint. That speaks for itself! We feel fortunate to be here!

“Thank you very much for scheduling one of our residents (Maralee Lowder) as a speaker for our entertainment today. I knew she was an author, but never realized she was such an accomplished speaker.
Today got me to thinking just how fortunate we residents of Evergreen Court are. We live here on the beautiful Oregon coast, one heart beat away from heaven, in a community chock full of things to do and places to go. Better yet, our Evergreen Court is full of residents of all walks of life. We have artists, authors, and lawyers, as well as judges, lawyers, doctors, and veterans. One of which is 100 years old. (Oh, yeah, did I mention that SHE is a woman!)
When I came here in 2018 I was looking for good care medically and peace of mind. I got that in spades and more! I also got not only the people I mentioned before, but a blended mixture of residents just like me, salespeople, blue and white collar works, and a family of employees who work hard to make me comfortable.
I first I hoped I had landed in a place that I could be happy in until I entered the hear after. Now, the longer I stay, the longer I want to.! “

“I am a rather new resident (3 months) at Evergreen Court and am still in awe of everything about it. At a more than reasonable cost I have a spacious apartment, great food (three meals a day), and the opportunity to mingle with wonderful people - both staff and residents. I have felt from the first day I arrived that I had made a great choice and every day since has proven me right.
Evergreen Court offers free rides to doctor's appointments, shopping and banking, and entertaining excursions. There are more activities than I could possibly keep up with.
I say with complete honesty, I have never been happier than I have been since coming to Evergreen Court. “
